Cátia Kossovsky has close to 25 years of experience representing businesses of various sizes and industries.
Cátia started her career as an attorney working in-house for a private equity company in New York City. She then moved on to work at two large multi-national law firms Loeb & Loeb in New York and Reed Smith in Pittsburgh. Cátia is also an entrepreneur and understands what it takes for businesses to prosper from the start-up phase.
She has worked on numerous cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and general business transactions, where she represents various companies needing to raise capital through private funding and acts as a fractional outside in-house counsel for small to midsize start-ups.
Cátia represents state-licensed and corporate businesses in general regulatory compliance, licensing, corporate transactions, private finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Cátia also counsels various law firms that have sought her expertise in these areas.
Cátia was the inaugural and immediate past chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Medical Marijuana and Hemp Law Committee. She also sat on the International Cannabis Bar Association's Board of Directors and currently sits on the Board of Directors of two local non-profits. In 2019, Cátia was listed as a Cannabis Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal.
